A question...you posted that you are trying to stop so you won't take them any more. Do you sill have a script or another way to get pills? If you do, then you have to cut the sources (cancel the script, etc.) or you will relapse. Early stages of detox are when most of us fail. Please take the source out of the picture.

Hi there ! It seems you and I were taking about the same dose . It took me only a few days with the physiological withdrawals but the psychological withdrawals was another story . The anxiety was tough ! I was pretty much back to normal in about two months . The anxiety got better in that two month time with each day that passed . You will have good days and not so good days but eventually you will have nothing but great days . Stay strong ..Jimmy

What are you doing different this time? Are you going to meetings, counseling, anything? Do you binge on extras, when you need them or have you used as prescribed always. If it's only the sick, remember that a month is a short time in measuring your life. Years pass so quickly, and more is need to even prevent the sick. How long is long enough. I believe in making a plan while not sick, telling others, and srtick to it. In your highest self and desire you want yo quit, don't let the detox Demond's manipulate you. You are in charge of your life, you can be free. You can do it, know that.

It takes quite awhile to heal. you need to be patient. with  each withdrawal and detox you go through it gets tougher and tougher on your body and mind.
it is important to stay hydrated, eat a well balanced diet, exercise, keep yourself busy, tell the doctor to cancel your scripts. take vitamins,
Epsom salt baths help.
you can get off and stay off the merry go round.it will take work on your part and time. time will be your healer.

I'm confused, you've been a member here for a while.  Are you trying to quit the meds for good?  Your posts are confusing to me (sorry).. just trying to understand what you are trying to do.

How did you feel when you weren't on the hydros?   How was your pain?
Many times the pain does incease on the opiates. It is called hyperalgesia, opiate induced pain.
As you know you build up a tolerance to there's and will need to continue to increase your dose.
Do you plan on staying off this time?

I thought your name looked familiar. you have been tried to taper off numerous times. maybe cold turkey is the better option for you.
can someone hold your pills for you? are you off the lunesta now?

40mgs is a low dose but you have been on it for 6 years. but yes that is a fast taper, but how do you feel?  I would probably wait another couple days before you drop again.
you have stayed at the same dose for all those years?
