Avisg, Is absolutely right, Don't forget you were on a high dose of oxycontin 200 mgs for 4 years. It takes at least at a minimum of 6 months off the oxycontin for the brain to heal itself as Opioid addiction is a treatable chronic disease of the brain, Some say it takes as long as a person abused Opiates to regain the correct pattern of brain activity, By this I mean the brain has to relearn when and how to release certain natural brain chemicals as in serotonin, endorphins and other natural feel good chemicals released by a healthy brain, The Xanax is really not your problem as you are in a rather low dose which you would have very little time needed to safely taper off the xanax at a slow
rate as determined by your doctor, You more than likely only sleep through the night now because of the xanax, Experiment one evening and skip the xanax and see if you are able to sleep restfully. Chances are you will more than likely have trouble falling asleep but staying asleep more than 2 to 3 hrs at a time,---------NOAH
No it does not make the feeling go away it just helps me sleep..that is why i don't really want to take them...
I guess it just takes some people longer to get back to normal, i must be one of them...
hopefully soon! thanks for your help.
want ,
does the xanax help does it make the feeling go away ......I am being to wonder if this has started to give you panic attacks ...it does happen. You were taking alot of oxy so maybe it is from that but i am just surprised you would still being have any physical withdrawal.....

i think it is wd but they are not as bad as the beginning. I stopped taking oxycontins ct on Sept 25 from about 50 mg per day but was on up to 200 mg per day for 4 yrs. I am really shaky inside and it is the same feeling i would get when i needed to take an oxy. The nights are the worst and that is why i have taken the 15 zanax so far. I just wanted to know if it was possibly the zanax that is causing me to shake inside so much. My hands are not shaking on the outside, it is that internal feeling of tingling and stuff that i was curious if it was the zanax or if i just need more time to get back to normal. This is not unbearable but i just wanted to know if i am causing this myself by taking them when i am having a really bad night...thanks for your help.
Are you sure what you are feeling is w/d feelings still tell me agian what and how much and how long were you taking meds ......
15 .5 mg xanaxs over a month will definitely not cause any addiction. You may still just be feeling sick from missing your oxy. or you just might have some anxiety issues. but 15 .5 in a month is definiitely not gonna cause any problems.
