The countdown is on!

3 more days and triple digits free of Hydros, Demerols and Percs! Woooohoooo! Things just keep getting better. I'm already in the best shape of my life. I had withered down to 129lbs and am now at 143lbs and looking at an 8 pack. I am so happy that March 6th was the day things turned around. I still get the piercing headaches that drove me to use and then abuse these scrips, but I manage without them now. Exercise and activity has always been a staple in my life, I just took it to another level in speeding my recovery.
I will never forget the frustration of the sleepless nights, jitters, mood swings and the painful morbid thoughts racing through my brain. I definitely am over the feelings of shame. I feel accomplished. I know I can never let my guard down as I will be tested in the future. I have twice now had them in my hands and did not partake.
I found my way and am thankful for my family, friends, cycling and "Insanity". I am also appreciative of all the help I recieved here in this forum.
Thanks everyone, be strong in your own endeavors.

Thanks guys. Yea, I wasn quite 'Machinist" thin, but too thin none the less. I just wish there were words to really express how great I feel these days. I wish I could bottle this up and give it to those who need some encouragement.
I am pretty much weekly now. I just keep myself so busy these days. I knew that quitting cold turkey wasn't going to be enough. I was due for a lifestyle change. I commited to it and a much better person because of it.

Right on man. 97 days is a lot of clean time and glad your doing well. I gained much needed weight too after I quit. Keep doing what your doing and keep reaching out for support no matter how many days you are clean. Congrats.
