i didn't know this thanks for the info....i went to walgreens and bought a ton of vits today...i hope i didn't get anything that will hurt me further...
Too much riding on this to be going solo. Hopefully she will find a doctor who can help get off these meds safely.
Yes Sara sorry. That's why I mentioned if she COULD take them. As mentioned Hope, you really need to speak with a doctor and if you can't get one on the phone go to the ER.
Usually NSAIDS are not recommended with a kidney removal, nor are herbal supplements.
Hey Hope-
The others are right- you DO need a good doctor. I posted what I was doing, but that was planned by my doctor. The tips I mentioned about keeping the meds in your system are right though and can tide you over until you Do find a doc. First thing Monday morning you need to start calling doctors. I hope you have enough meds to be comfortable until then.
Hope you're doing okay today. If you can take NSAIDS (I can't because I have Crohn's disease) then Tylenol and Ibuprophen together are good. Just watch your acetominophen intake. The recommended daily dose is 2000 mg. And Percocet has acetominophen in it. So be careful. Too much is damaging for the liver.
Do you have other family members or a partner that can help you out with a doc? I got my doc because she was my boyfriend's doctor. She actually delivered him (:
So even though she wasn't taking new patients, and I have to drive an hour to see her it's worth it. She is awesome.
I 'interviewed' 4 doctors before going with her. Remember, your doctor works for you.
Also, the new laws in the US are very, very tough. Make sure you request ALL your medical records and make copies of them and bring them to your appointments. This is VERY important.
Hang in,
Lu
