will vicoden help methadone withdrawel

i am out of methadone dont get any for 3 more days haventt had any since the day before yesterday i am very ill will the vicoden make me feel better or atleast stop the sickness i am not strong mentally feel like im gonna die

I would assume it would help, but not completly, because now you're addiction is methadone more than opiates, but it can't really hurt I guess...If I was in you're situation i would have taken the vic's. I actually had to go back to oc's after my dealer ran out of subutex, but now i'm just about done w/everythnig...I also have heard people use suboxone (which is what I used to get off oc's) to get off methadone.....What a vicious cycle

well i took about 10 7.5 vicodin starting to feel better i have a high tolerance so any less would have been useless still really shaky though stomach cramps stopped no sneezing no watery eyes no pounding heart still a little cloudy though i hate vicodin

How long have you been on methadone? And I hear ya I wouldn't have ever gotten off oc's if it wasn't for suboxone I can't handle the w/d's

I just read you're profile....Have you ever thought about trying suboxone? Right B4 I got the sub. from my friend I was going to see a Dr. and when I was calling around and I just hated the idea of methadone...I know people that have been on that for YRS. and from what I know sub is short term

yes but the closest doctor is 84 miles from me ther is one closer but she wont see me cause i dont have a script for the methadone

Thats F-ing crazy and sorry to hear that, that sucks! They should see you I know alot of people that didn't have a script for oc's and got on it thats what it's for....I'm just in complete awww right now and shocked thats nuts.

Well, it's kind of like throwing bricks in the Grand Canyon trying to fill it. They're both opiates, but vic's are partial antagonists, as opposed to methadone being a full antagonist.

So you'll be taking a handful of pills every four hours to even feel normal. And you'll get a "double addiction" if you keep doing it.

How fast have you been coming down?

tiffany - i just read your profile... why are you taking the vicodin???  isn't that how you got in trouble in the first place?

are you planning to get off of the methadone?  i'd just hate to see you lose everything.... :-(
