Adrenal gland tumor??

I'm 22 years old I'm around normal weight 6 months ago I was diagnosed with hypertension. I had to be Put on some meds we've done a heart echo, EKG, head MRI, stress test, and kidney renal. I have currently had to up my dosage to 100mg losartan/hctz 25mg. Resting Bp is 135/80 on average. Could I possibly have an adrenal gland tumor? I've not been tested for it. I have hypertension, my body's felt real anxious every since, I get heart papitations sometimes, I also have a low stamina which are all things I didn't experience before. Would one of the tests I've had done rule out a adrenal tumor gland? I had a blood test done for white/red cell count(was normal) also blood test for thyroid was normal....please help! God bless

In my state we are allowed copies of medical records, so I can get a copy of the MRI and report on CD after 24 hours.

You should ask, it is usually free. If you have had other tests there they typically jam all they can on one CD.

I would make sure to get copies. Sadly adrenal gland tumors are rare so most will not know how to test effectively for them.

Head brain MRI without contrast is all we did. and  I had my potassium levels checked they were normal, I'm not sure about sodium levels. I did a blood test for my thyroid too it was normal. I would have already seen an endocrinologist but I'm financially broke, I'm seeing a Nuerologist and Cardiologist off of financial aid from the hospital I don't have insurance. So can u please help inform me. Can I ask for copy's of my MRI report?

The tests you listed sound very general - but none of them are for adrenals.

Any sodium or potassium testing? That would show if you have an issue with renin and aldosterone - those control blood pressure.

Any metaprhrines? There is a tumor called a pheo (there is a post today is the brain/pituitary tumors) that will raise blood pressure.

If you had on the thyroid panel - e.g. TSH and T4, your thyroid was not really tested IMHO.

Do you get copies of all your tests and reports - as in MRIs? Was it an MRI with and without contrast?

Have you seen an endocrinologist?
