CAH, PCOS or something else...Not Sure

I am 26 years old married woman. I have  Hypothyroid, frequent period (in every 17-18 days) and Hirsutism. I was taking Synthroid( half of .075 MG), Aldactone 100MG( twice a day). But now she stopped Aldactone and gave me Birth Control Pill ( Ocella, its generic of Yasmin). But How long can I take this BCP I am not sure.

My period are always been so frequent since they started ( in the age of 13). Recently my doc took vaginal and abdominal ultrasound. She found that I have Poly cystic ovaries. But she told me that I don't have PCOS as my periods are very frequent.

My doc took all the test. First they took my blood sample, and then gave me a injuction of Cortrosyn. Then I had to wait 45 min. After that again they took my blood sample.I wrote both the figures of my result( before and after 45 min of injection).
Test Name                    Result             Ref. range
ACTH                     :   22.5 pg/ml         0.0-56.0
Cortisol Baseline     :   16.1 ug/dl          2.5-25.0
Cortisol (45 Min)      :   25.6 ug/dl
17-OHProg (0 Min)   :   3.82 ng/ml        0-1-3.3
17-OHProg (45 Min) :   4.81 ng/ml

She did not prescribe any medication to treat CAH. After 2 month she again took my blood work. This time they didn't give me the injection. This time the results were:
Test Name                    Result             Ref. range
ACTH                     :   26.7 pg/ml         0.0-56.0
Cortisol                   :   18.6 ug/dl          5.0-25.0
17-OHProg              :   2.6 ng/ml           0-1-3.3

So this time all the levels in the reference range. So my doc have doubt that I have CAH or not. Can anyone  please suggest me what should I do?

You get tested for a 21-OH deficiency to see if the 21-hydroxylase genes are impacted.

If you look up CAH or LOCAH, you will see the traits. Females born with CAH have issues with their female parts, males can look ok on the outside but if both are not identified right away then they can have adrenal crisis issues right away. Late onset means born normal, but they have symptoms like what you describe. I will send you a site to refer to that should help you.

You can have PCOS and other things as well. I had PCOS and Cushing's.  PCOS is not exclusive.

CAH has a genetic test. There are also a few forms. You would have late onset unless you have certain traits.

They could be running other testing - LH, FSH, estradiol, testosterone, sex binding hormone, etc. Your symptoms are general - your doc is not looking far enough. Is your doc an endocrinologist?
