I am going to ask for this to be redone.
I have Hypothyroid, have had it for years.
I also have unexplained high testerone, but very low insulin.
Dr said I have PCOS, but ran no other tests. I have sever brain fog, dry skin, never thirsty, high testerone, awful periods, if I even get them and I have had kidney stones, breast cysts.
I just did MRI of the pituitary and am hoping to have the adrenals looked at too.
11:40 is not a proper time to do a cortisol test, usually.
The times to do a cortisol test are when there are ranges on your lab slip, or when there are known peaks and ebbs.
8am, 2pm, midnight are better times with the diurnal rhthym.
What does your lab range say?
ACTH is the test that goes with cortisol, but other tests would depend on your symptoms.
