"UNEXPLAINED WEIGHT GAINED AND THYROID SYMPTOMS"

I have unexplained weight gained and recently last Thursday, I just went to Virginia Hospital Center and saw an Endocrinologist. She got so abrupt with me and talked so fast. She said "I am sorry, I can't help you." She was the one that my family doctor sent me to. The Endocrinologist was at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Virignia. Will you please find me a good general Thyroid/Endo/Metobolic Specialist who can help me and thoroughly check me out. I have headaches, pains in my stomach, chests, heartburns, throats, hoarsness in my voice, severe fatigueness and sleepiness all day and night. I get night sweats. I have nausa in the stomach. I have speech spasm and disfluency. That means I have trouble speaking sometimes. Sometimes I have been developing memory loss and problems with my thoughs and concentration. All I am looking for is an entitment to a top and best endocrinologist/metobolic specialist who knows what he/she is doing and who has good bedside manners toward me in a patient and doctor relationship. Thank you very much.

Endos are not always the best route, hard to believe I know. Sometimes you can find a GP that understands thyroid better and will test Free T3 Free t4, understanding these are more important than just testing TSH alone.

I don't know any docs in that area but I know from some friends of mine who have seen docs in that area that they can be conservative.

Usually one cannot see an endo though unless you have testing to show you have an endocrine disorder - so you would need a pituitary or adrenal or thyroid lesion, and testing to show something is abnormal. What kind of testing have you had as far as hormones?
