What do you think of my results?

Hello,

My doctor believes I may suffer from adrenal fatigue, she wants to repeat my tests in 3 weeks before doing anything. My main complaint is shortness of breath that comes from smells (detergents, perfumes) and also it can appear at the end of the day. For instance for the past 1.5 weeks, I have had shortness of breath starting in late afternoon for no reason.

Here are my labs, done 2 weeks ago. If anyone can tell me how serious my adrenal problems are, that'd be great!
I should mention I also suffer from hypothyroidism, I take Armour but did not take it the morning of the tests. And I am a 40 years old female.
cortisol AM: 13.0 (4.3 - 22.4)
ACTH: 13 (0 - 46)   ....   should I start taking some DHEA supplements??
DHEA: 168 (110 - 554)
DHEA-sulfate: <15 (32-240)
testosterone: 19 (14 - 76)
free testosterone direct: < 0.2 (0.0- 2.2)

Hi Stella,

Sorry I had not seen your answer until now.

Yes I am hypo and I am taking Armour 90 mg right now though I do not think it's optimal. My ACTH was at 9:15 AM I think. My doctor is supposed to discuss possible adrenal help next time I see her... she'd better because I am sick of taking things at the speed of a snail!

Nothing was looked at on those tests with your thyroid. I don't know if thyroid is an issue and your meds are right or not.

You say you had the ACTH test in the morning. You should be in high range and you are not. very low for a morning test.

Did your doctor discuss DHEA?
