An incidental adrenal adenoma was found about 6 months ago. It is only about 2 1/2 cm. I have had elevated SED rate ranging from 47 to 81 for a couple of years. I was sent to see rheumatologist to see if it is an autoimmune disorder. Dozens upon dozens of labs I test negative for anything autoimmune. She decides to put me on lyrica as I have a lot of pain and fatigue. I don't fit having fibromyalgia as having this high SEd rate is not common. I have joint and bone pain not muscle pain. I have also been treated by a hematologist for anemia. No matter how much iron I take and folic acid and vitamin D and B-12 shots my anemia doesn't get much better. I have PCOS. I just turned 40 and I have not been able to have children due to infertility. I lost 95 pounds but have gained 35 back due to getting pneumonia for several weeks and was put on prednisone. I have normal blood pressure. I take metformin for the PCOS. I recently quit having normal monthly cycles after being able to have a monthly cycle on my own for 16 months. I feel like I am dying. I am tired all of the time. My body hurts. I am stressed and confused why no one can find out why I feel awful all the time. I want to have a child but my doctor won't refer me to specialist until I lose more weight. I need to lose a lot but I am no longer losing weight and have been gaining. I want to be healthy and want to feel like I have energy to do things. I am stressed. I was sent to complete some labs for the endocrinologist. I did the dexamethasone 1mg test. My cortisol level came back at 0.9. The lab says results should be between 4.0 and 22.0. When I read about the results it states that cortisol should be low but not how low. Does .09 indicate that my adrenal adenoma is active and is causing my health problems after all? Any info would be appreciated.
