if cortisol is too high?

Hello everyone . I have a 2cm tumor on my adrenal gland.  I did the ct doc said it's benign . But I finally get to do my cortisol test after having to wait since I was on antibiotics for a month for an ear infection.  My symptoms are tight neck shoulder and scalp muscles wake up every morning stiff.  Cry all the time because I just don't feel right I do have excess hair growth . I was wondering if any of this is a symptom of high cortisol.  I have to do a 24 urine saliva test and 2 blood test 8am and 4pm . Anyone have a benign tumor that caused problems ?

I had Cushing's myself.

I have sadly a lot of experience with it. I had pituitary surgery as my source was pituitary. My tumor grew back and so my adrenals were removed (in my case this was my best option, most have multiple pituitary surgeries). Now I am AI.

Symptoms vary. I was not classic in many ways. There are many lists out there and it goes on forever...  usually (thankfully) people just have a set of them.

It depends on what testing  the doctor did.

I will say the 24 hour saliva is decent... but not comprehensive - you also need urine and other blood testing besides cortisol like ACTH, a CMT other pituitary hormones and other adrenals hormones AND you have to test more than once as one day is just one day... you need several sets to show the trend.

Having a low immune system and hair growth can be cortisol but that can also be dhea or androgen issues - so you will need to cover all your bases.

Get copies too.
