Predisone and PVC's

I was recently prescribed predisone for an ear infection.  I noticed that the very day I starting taking it, I've had major pvc's.  Some triplets.  I'm very worried and scared.  Does this medicine cause pvc's?   I used to have allot of pvcs before having my thyroid ablated for hyperthyroidism.  Approximately 2000 per 24 hour period.  I've not had them since until I started taking this medicine.  I also had a heart cath which came out fine.  I'm just scared that I could drop dead suddenly with having triplets.  I'm just trying to get done taking the meds to see if that helps.  Am I in any danger?  I'm really scared.  Please help.

Thank you.

We have a great heart rhythm forum here and I would read what they have to say, there are many knowledgable folks there. I will say one thing, if you have had a complete cardiac work up and all is fine, then I would not worry about the PVC's, if your heart is healthy, they will not harm you at all.

I hope you have called your doctor about this however, since this started after taking the med, he needs to know this and he can act accordingly. I would get in to see him as soon as you can. How are you doing today?

I would call your doctor. A forum is not appropriate for an emergency.
