i have my second appiontment 2 day. . havent had a drink since mon.. blood test. an i no its going 2 be ok. the longest ive gone for three years. my freind an drinking partner died 4 weeks ago.. it was a slow painfull death. the day she died i said i would nt touch another drop, but i did the opposit. i miss her every day. .she was 45 an beautifull.. an should still be here not lying in the ground

Nope, no sherry -- strictly beer for me,  and large volumes usually ... the 6.0 powerful rot gut stuff that pounds my head the next day.  Speaking of 6; it's six days of no booze!  * hands clapping*...  I feel too good, hope I don't blow it.  It's like coming out a very thick gloomy fog and the sad part is, I don't remember half the nights after guzzling all those beers, only going to bed early after dinner.  What a waste of life...:(

Sorry to hear about your friend.  It must be so hard.  Please keep us updated on your doc. appt.  There are so many people on this board who are so supportive with great advice.

my friend was given 6 mths 2 yrs ago, but of course its never going 2 happen 2 you,. I dont no if you have sherry out in the states, i was good while i lived there i only drank hard lemonade. but my friend drank sherry. . she'd have been as well drinking meths. I already no i have liver damage.. my sickness an my stomach cramps were worse today.. the doc says im doing well hes up'd my librium which is good for me. i think everyone who drinks can relate 2 waking up an not remembering.. or even urinated or sometimes worse.. thats when things are bad , and the only way is up...you may lose a few friends along the way. . but they werent really your friends if they dont want to know you

Hang in there... what's the doctor saying for day 1?  Is your liver functioning ok?  I'm in day 3 of no drinking and feel real good which scares me, because I'll want to drink later this afternoon.  Sorry to hear about your friend,  46 is so young nowadays.  How long was she sick?
