Blood on 4 year old toilet paper - allergies?

I don't know where I should be posting this question, but my every time my 4 year old son has a bowel movement, he gets blood on the toilet paper.  I have taken him to the doctors 2 times and he has given me hydrocortisone cream with a cream in it for yeast infection.  It has not cleared the blood up.  I have read on the internet that it may be associated with allergies.  The doctor said the next step is very invasive and he doesn't really want to put a 4 year old through this.  Any suggestions?

Is your son constipated maybe? Is he having a hard time having bowel movements? Sometimes if he does this could be a sign of constipation too I think.  It can create tears and some bleeding.
I haven't heard of bleeding in correlation with allergies.  But that is my thought!
