food allergy to spaghetti sauce

My daughter gets a rash on her face when she eats spaghetti sauce and sometimes pizza and salsa.  It's a raised pinkish red rash and itches and burns. Sometimes its on her legs.I have no idea what she is allergic to since there are so many different ingredients and spices. Looking for some advice on what I should do. Is there a way she can be tested for different spices?

Yes, she can be tested for spices...but a blood test can reveal
ev/thing she's allergic to...from grass to seafood, eggs, etc. Simple test to rule out and then begin regiment.
fruits/veggies don't need to be boiled, lose nutrients...UNLESS:
I HAVE EXTREMLY BAD TREE/GRASS ALLERGIES : My J. Hopkins allergist said I have cross-allergic reaction to foods that are related to
grass/trees/pollen.  TOLD ME TO BOIL WHATEVER FOODS I HAVE CROSS OVER REACTIONS TO, then I can eat .That was my point that was not explained properly. FOOD list before blood testing, hard to find when no clue what your allergic to via blood testing..then find the cross-allergic reaction foods. IT immune therapy shots can help your daughter while she's still young, if that's the case...takes time to build-up. good luck

I don't agree with the comment that all fresh fruits/vegies must be cooked.
Fresh fruit with their peel contains more nutrients and fibre.  Cooked ones are fine sometimes but with cooked fruit people would add sugar and some nutrients would be lost through cooking.

There are some fruit that cannot be cooked like melon, grapes, kiwi fruit, you may think of others.  You can peel the skin off the grapes, but this is not necessary for adults, more so for babies when their digestion cannot break things down properly.

All raw fruit and raw vegetables should always be washed before being eaten.

Some vegetables need to be cooked, but there are those that do not.

As I understand, unless things have changed since, there are no allergy tests with regard to food allergies.  It is usually by elimination to try and find the culprit food that would then be avoided.

As the child is getting a rash when she eats specific foods, there is clearly a link between those foods.  It may not be the tomatoes, but could be a specific ingredient that is in all those products that she eats.

The best thing to do as you know that the rash comes out when the child eats those foods in that combination is to avoid the spaghetti sauce, pizza and salsa.  There are lots of ingredients in these products and not just tomatoes.

To find out if she is allergic to tomatoes is to get her to eat a fresh one (washed of course) and see what happens.

It is always a good idea to keep a written record of everything that she eats and drinks and write down if she gets a reaction.  This will help to narrow down the foods that need to be avoided.

Your daughter has allergies, my thoughts. I cannot eat tomatoes unless
they are cooked.. grass/tree allergies. All fresh fruits/veggies must be cooked.
'WHEAT" , I was eating is related to GRASS. Face inflamed/burns.
Burning is inflammation from s/thing she's allergic to/food or fungus/in air/homes.
SO...I personally would have her checked out by
Allergist (researcher if you can find)
prick test or blood to see what she's allergic too.
Foods related to tree/grass are numerous. I cannot eat
almonds or almond milk..yes, tree allergy  v.v. hard. Allergies lead
to sinus and s/time asthma. Get her tested, asap. I'm getting
allergy shots and still not much relief.

I ate some homemade flapjacks (UK type) that contained dried fennel seeds.  This was a new recipe that I found on line that I thought I would like to try.   I had no problem with eating them last week.  I made some last night and ate a small piece.  I suddenly experienced a soreness and tingling and a small blister on the inside of my upper and lower lips.

I checked the web about fennel which confirmed that I was experiencing an allergic reaction to the fennel.  I do have antihistamine medication at home and contacted the pharmacist with regard the highest dose I could take.  I was only able to take 1 tablet of the Cetirizine Hydrochloride that was a 10mg dose.  Today the lips are much better, but not quite yet back to normal.

Luckily, my condition wasn't severe to warrant going to the ER.  But had the lips and tongue swelled then I would have had to have gone to the ER.

Is Daosin an antihistamine?

Have you ever thought about a histamine intolerance? You should go to an allergist make a blood test for several intolerances or allergies. I'm sensitive to histamine as well and I had headache all the time when I ate sth histamine rich. But there a some dietary supplements which can help you with an intolerance, so there is for histamine intolerance Daosin which can help.
So nr one thing you're gonna have to do is an allergy test!

take care

Have a look at those products to see if there is a lactose in them.  But then again she would come up with a rash when she drank normal milk.

As the main ingredients in those products you mentioned contain tomatoes, she may have an allergy to them.

Compare all those products that cause a reaction and see if there are ingredients that are the same to give you an idea.

Best thing is to keep a written record of everything that she eats and drinks and to record what reaction she gets.  This will help you to hopefully identify the culprit food so that it can be avoided in future.

My granddaughter who is 1.5 years of age, from birth, comes out in a terrible rash if she consumes anything that contains lactose.

Hello,

Food allergies can the pits to discover. Instead of using a canned sauce, which can be loaded with chemicals, try making it from scratch with good, organic ingredients, this should help, if not, it could be the tomatoes themselves she is allergic too.

You can have allergy tests done through your doctor's recommendation of a good allergist, or, you could see a qualified "naturopathic physician" they specialize in issues like this.

Good luck and God bless
