Hi, the symptoms may be suggestive of cough dominant asthma and hence a test with bronchodilators for 2-3 weeks will be useful to relieve the symptoms. If the symptoms don’t improve stop the medications.
Other possibilities needed to rule out are foreign body and anatomical airway abnormality in the bronchus which can be source of reinfection and cough. Another important possibility can be acid reflux disease. Neck radiography and bronchoscopy will help. Even pertusis and other infection can be suspected and can cause interstitial lung disease. Vasculitis in lung is rare. I suggest you to consult physician. Take care and regards.
You need to discus this new symptoms with your dr. You could have acid reflux that is causing the cough. I know it sounds far fetched, but it happens to me. There is a type of acid reflux that is very common in asthma patients where the acid refluxes up into the back of the throat where it can cause sinus infections, laryngitis, and asthma symptoms.
Have this checked by a doctor.
