OT: 4 month old allergic to our dog?

Sorry, not much action in other forums.
My DD has been congested since birth. She seems like she itches her nose a lot as well and will sneeze. We have dealt with bugs here and there but this is something that has been constant.
We have a 9 year old Border Collie that is our first baby and dread the thought of having to get rid of him when we aren't sure this is our problem. He does shed a TON.

Has anyone ever had to deal with this?

We have thought about finding him a new home just for a trial period until we can figure this out but are unsure of how long something like that should last. I know the dander and hair will stick around for a long time and still affect her.

I would talk to his ped. it can be many, many things causing a reaction (if it's allergic). I found out early on my son is allergic to long hair cats and not short hair (weird huh?) his ped. actually fairly quickly helped us to figure that out.

Talk to the doctor. My son has severe allergies to all dogs except hypoallergenic... They can advise you the best. I would hate to hear you had to give up a family pet.
