Hi, welcome to the forum, the symptoms may be suggestive of acute attack of asthma and hence a test with bronchodilators for 2-3 weeks will be useful to relieve the symptoms. If the symptoms don’t improve stop the medications.
The triggering factors like dust, fog, pollens etc. can cause the precipitation of these symptoms, you need avoid further exposure.
The other causes which needs to be ruled out are interstitial lung disease, pleural effusion and cardiomyopathy, valvular disorders, pericardial diseases, anemia etc.
Allergen-specific testing includes Skin testing, Serum tests for allergy, Allergen challenge and as well as Evaluation of respiratory system by spirometry will help to substantiate the diagnosis. Also ECG and chest X-ray to rule out other causes.
I suggest you to consult physician for further evaluation. Take care and regards.
Sounds like asthma to me. Can you go to get this checked out? Some Dr's have a sliding scale. Call around. If you have asthma, and don't get it treated, it will only get worse and worse. If you can't afford the inhaler, ask for samples. Good luck.
this sounds more like anxiety than asthma to me, i suffer with both and sometimes its hard to tell, when im having a panic attack my chest feels awful, but with a panic attack the shortness of breath/chest pain goes within 5 minutes. if you are worried see a doctor or if your breathing is really bad go to the hospital
