Rash on bottom lip and chin

My 11 yr old daughter has a red bumpy rash on her bottom lip and under the lip. She just has one large bump in the middle of the bottom lip and several small bumps above her chin. She originally thought it was just blemishes so she washed her face several times a day, but there was no improvement, and now they are red, very sore, & covered in a yellow/brown crust. They also burn if she touches or picks at them. I'm not sure what to do to get rid of them or what kind of medicine to put on them. I'm not even sure what is causing it.

This looks like impetigo! i suffered from it when i was young. It used to come up when i was run down or ill. It is contagious so she will need her own flannel and towel. I know a doctor wouldn't recommend this but i used to get a cotton bud and soak it in TCP or even perfume! Dab the rash. This will sting obviously but it tends to dry out within 12 hours. Check it is impetigo first as you don't want to anger something that your not sure about!

Impetigo, which is extremely contagious.  She needs to see a doctor for treatment and not go to school until allowed by the doctor.
