Thank you very much my friend for your immediate response. I know that those corticosteroid have very low doses and for short term of use only. It just made me paranoid when I read in the internet that they are like "immunosuppresant?"
I have another concern about hiv testing. Actually, I had ask for some help about this in the hiv community forum here and they told me that non-reactive/negative hiv elisa test result (after my 94 days of protected body contact) is conclusive. But my doctor still insists to have another in my 6th month. Although, I believe that 3 months is conclusive, I thought to still consider retesting in my 6th month.
I have read that immunosuppresants can delay antibodies in showing up in the test or something. So, I thought to ask here how long will corticosteroid stay in my body system.
God bless my friend.
Hi and welcome to the community.
The momthasone is in VERY low doses and is delivered exactly where it is needed, and used. Very little if any of this medication will make it into your body to start with.
Them methylprednisolone is an oral steroid. You are wise to be concerned about it. You are on a very low dose of that (for oral steroids) though and for a short time. I can't tell you how long it will stay in your system, but your should not experience any side effects from this very limited exposure.
I hope that gives you peace about it.
God bless.
