mixing meds

My mom is currently taking Diazepam, Levetiracetam and Alprazolam. Is there any problems mixing all these meds together

The best person to ask is the doctor, and if you don't trust the doctor, a pharmacist.

Be sure to take the dosages and when and how she takes it (with food etc) and other medications.

I will say that my MIL took a *cocktail* that the geriatric psych devised for her after she switched day with night and it had to be a certain set of meds, taken at certain times in a certain way so she could function at least decently. It took some trial and error to get the set of medications set up. I don't remember the meds right now, but it was a lot of the 'ams.

That being said you want to make sure that your mom is being treated in the best way possible, and not just being made quiet. So do ask about HOW, WHEN and why, and do make sure the meds are being taken properly.

It is a lot of work!
