I am going through the same thing, My Mom has had alzheimers for at least 7 years now, and Sat. she go up to use bathroom and fell stayed there all night on the floor. In the morning we found her and got her back to bed, slept for the day and night and then could not stand, Has been at the hospital for two days now and they have done every test and all comes back ok. PT comes tomorrow and then rehab. Did alzheimers cause use of legs?
Thank you for your question. Although without being able to examine her I can not offer you the specific advice on her confusion and hallucination and treatment that she needs, but I would try to provide you some relevant information about her health concern.
Although she is in age of 80s and most common memory problems come with this elderly age as an Alzheimer’s disease, but it is essential other possibilities of memory loss and other symptoms like hormonal imbalance, stress/depression, and vitamin deficiency need to be evaluated thoroughly. In this disease, normal day-to-day activities have been affected more than memory loss. Therefore, I would suggest consulting a doctor to rule out other possibilities first with the help of doctor. Hope this helps.
