MEDICATION FOR cluster headache

Can I treat atypical cluster headache with propranolol ?

Hi, Thank you for your question. Usually, propranolol (beta blocker) is suggested for prophylactic treatment of migraine. Acute or prompt treatment require over the counter pain killers and triptans. Avoiding the triggering factors of cluster headache might help you in order to prevent its recurrence. Hope it helps.

I don't know, but straight Oxygen has proved effective. If you will get a prescription for an O2 tank, and use it for 15 minutes at a time. You might be surprised how it will work. I take Propanolol 240 ER for my migraines, but they are regular ones.
