aortic aneurysm

I am a 48 yr old female who also discovered I have an aortic aneurysm .  I had been very tired and was having chest pain.  I was sent to ER and through  a CT found a 4.3 aneurysm along with lung nodules and kidney disease.  I have been on Beta blocker (even though I have LOW BP) Dr doesn't want it to go up..I have also gained a few pounds which are for the first time in my life very hard to loose.I also do not "look" sick and have chose to tell very few people of my health issues so the people who know have gotten "used " to it and no longer act concerned.  I have also kept up a good front but, internally am TERRIFIED that it can rupture at any time.  Are there any support groups for people like us?  Most information I find is on abdominal and mostly OLDER people.. I would like to share support with women in my age group.

Sorry, I do not know.  I know the aortic root reacts positively because it is rich in the substance that reacts to these drugs.

Hi - do you know how these drugs effect "brain aneurysms"?

As I tell everyone on here, read up on ARB and ACEi drugs.  These drugs have recently been shown to halt or reverse aortic growth, particularly if the aneurysm is in the aortic root.  I don't know how that would interact with the fact that you have kidney disease because these drugs may be contraindicated.
