ascending aortic aneurysm

I have been diagnosed with an ascending aortic aneurysm.  I am a 45 year old woman and was diagnosed as having a 3.9 x 4.0 aneurysm.  I had a spleenectomy in 2003.  I have low blood pressure and am in excellent shape.  I do intense cardio and weight sessions 3x per week.  I hahve small children I requently lift.  Should I be worried??? One doctor told me we just need to monitor the condition.  I can't take beta blockers as I already have low blood pressure.  Any comments and/or ino would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I believe your doctor's advice is sound. I had an ascending aortic aneurysm repair last November. When the surgeon repaired it, he said it measured 5.8 cm. The preop testing showed it to be approx 5.2 - 5.3. They usually wait until it reaches around 5.5 cm, depending upon some other variables. You low blood pressure is a big asset in this case. It should keep it from enlarging for a good while.
