Does my cat have a fatal disease?

Please help, Bearcat has been vomiting for the past week.  Now he is having difficulty walking.  When he lays down his back leg continues to twitch.  My suspitions are intestinal blockage or fatal nerve disease.  What are the symtoms for these?  We are afraid an emergency vet visit would financially break us, and even worse, he would still end up dying.
(Bearcat was rescued 1 year ago from a feral cat population @ three weeks.  He was the only survivor of his litter)

I am very sorry about your loss!  When you have some closure please get another companion for Tomcat!

Vomiting can occur in cats from so many possibilities that they are too numerous to count and list here.  If you can't take him to an emergency clinic bring him to your regular vet on Monday, after all,  you have already waited over a week.  Please be prepared for some diagnostic tests since only diagnostics will determine what is wrong with Bearcat.

Toxins, heart disease, and diabetic neuropathy can cause the leg problems.

Thank you Aleda.  I am so sorry that I did wait, as Bearcat died early Sunday morning in my husbands arms.   He had been sick so frequently in his short life that I thought that this would pass too.  If only I had taken his vomiting more seriously.

Bearkitty was so sweet and gentle.  There wasn't a mean bone in his body.  Tomcat misses him tremendously.  He wanders from room to room calling out.  We are both worried for him as we are gone so much and Bear and Tom were very close.

Our vet is a Holistic Vet and Bearcat and Tomcat, older cousin, have made many visits to see him.  He's been a good doctor for Bear and helped him dramatically with homeopathy.  If only I had done those tests, purhaps there would have been something we could have done for him.  Hindsight is so painfully raw.  Money doesn't matter anymore, I just want back my teddy "Bear."
