Hair pain?

My Suki Lou is 9 mo old and all of a sudden she started to cry if you rub her hair in the wrong direction, even the blankets make her cry. She is still very active, eats well, jumps, it only happens if you rub her hair on her back in the wrong direction,,, Any clue as to why? Vet appointment 16th this mo for spay. Should I take her in before that?

She may have back pain from disk disease, a spinal congenital problem, impacted anal glands, or pain from a tumble unto her back or other traumatic injury to the skin or muscles on her back.  If she were bald you might even be able to see bruising.   It would be a good idea to have her examined prior to the 16th if possible.

I'm so glad to hear you went to your vet straightaway.  Also glad to hear that the problem wasn't too serious.  Good job!

Hello, It was/is staph infection of her skin, after he muzzled her and we could really look. God love her, when her hair was rubbed the wrong way it poked her tender sore skin. Couple shots and baytril for ten days and she will be fine. Thank you
