My dog is acting strangely...

My dog is a maltese/poodle x, my dad has recently built a new fence in the backyard, and ever since she's been acting really odd. We don't know if it's because of the fence and the new surroundings for her or if it's something else. She has been shivering and having little panic attacks every time she comes inside from doing her business.

Please question your son.  If son may have scared him inadvertantly, or accidentally stepped on him, etc.  If so,  your son will have to take over feeding him by hand, walking him etc to try to break him of the fearful behavior.

My mini schnauzer that is 9 months old is doing something similar but only when my son is around. He shakes violently and has even hidden in the bath tub. I don't want to think my son hurt him but what else can it be. He seemed fine until a few days ago. Also he gets excited when my son comes home like everyone else. It breaks my heart to see him act this way.

Can you spy on her when she goes outside to see if there is something she finds fearful?

Are there stairs that she must use that were not there before?

How long do the panic attacks and shivering last once she is back in the house?

It is difficult to give advise unless we know what the cause is.
