REVERSE SNEEZING?

I HAVE A FEMALE SHITZ ZU ABOUT 2 YEARS OLD. SHE HAS BEEN HAVING THESE SPELLS TO WHERE SHE ACTS LIKE SHE IS COUGHING BUT SHE DOES IT OUT OF HER NOSE AND MOUTH. YOU CAN SEE HER BODY KIND OF LIKE HEAVING OR CONVULSING. I TOOK HER TO MY VET AND THEY SAID SHE WAS REVERSE SNEEZING. HAVE YOU HEARD OF THIS. HE ALSO SAID TO GIVE HER A HALF OF A BENEDRYL. WHAT DO YOU THINK SHE GOES TO THE VET REGULARY AND IS UPDATED ON ALL SHOTS AND TREATMENTS SHE SOMETIMES HAS ALLERGIES. LAST NIGHT THIS EPISODE LASTED ABOUT 1 MINUTE IT WAS VERY SCARY. THE FIRST TIME I THOUGHT SHE WAS HAVING SEIZURES BUT SHE WILL LOOK AT ME AND SHE LOOKS NORMAL AS SHE IS DOING THIS BUT SHE CANT CONTROL IT UNTIL IT IS OVER.

yes yes , i have had two shih tzu and they are common for this breed because their nose little and smuch, my boy had them a lot, it scares them i always held himtold him it ok till it over, my new baby shes has had a few, shes 5 months was hoping she not have them but she does, vet says it notgoing kill them it just looks scarey to us and is to them. so just hold your baby pet her and be there for her.

awe what a sweet baby, yes they are so much joy i love both of mine, when i lost my little boy it tore me up now i have a little girl, the last. they are the sweetest babys and care so much for their owners. it is a scarey thing i hate when mine does it, but i let her know shes ok and that am there , same thing i did for my boy. i love the name bella, . am here if you want to compare notes . or just brag about your baby,

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR REPLY. I DO HOLD HER AND TRY TO COMFORT HER. IT HURTS ME SO MUCH. SHE IS VERY CLOSE TO ME. SHE HAS TO SNIFF MY EYES WHEN I COME HOME FROM WORK AND SHE RUBS HER HEAD ON MY FACE. SUCH COMPASSION AND LOVE FROM THESE LITTLE DOGS.
