I have viewed the photos. They look like insect bites, such as bites from: chiggers mites, ants, spiders, or scabies mites. Most of these insects can be found on vegetation, grasses, and on the ground, anywhere in the US. Scabies are transmitted from animal to animal.
The female could just have been exposed before the male. The only thing that doesn't fit is that they don't appear to be itchy, since chigger and scabies bites are both very itchy.
Other possibilities are poison icy, and other poisonous plants, but these also cause itchy lesions.
As long as the dogs' continue to eat, drink, and act normally, you can try some over the counter topical anti-insect bite lotions. Just make sure that they don't lick off the lotions. If your dogs' began to itch or the lesion look as if they are infected, or are spreading, you will have to take them to your vet.
thank you so much I'll keep a close watch on her and if the worsen or she seems in any distress a trip to vet she'll go ... once again thanks.
