canine herpes

My 4-6month old recently adopted lab mix has herpes on her outter cheak and inner ear lobe from her rescue kennel. She has many dog friends around my neighborhood and  from my friends and family. Does she post a problem or threat to these other dogs she plays with, especially younger dogs her age ?

my son had a sore in his mouth three week back his lip are still redand crack could it catch if someone suck a candy he was eating.  or could his brother eat fr him.

It was diagnosed by the kennel she was rescued at. They removed two warts or mole like "herpes" off of her outter lip. When she arrived after transport another was on her lip. She was then taken for a vet visit and given a good bill of heath, and was not told to be concerned with the herpes that is dangerous mostly to younger puppies. But I am just looking for more information on the diagnosis. I will try to get a more specific diagnosis for her medical records.

Herpes?  Are you sure?  How was this diagnosed?  


There are many kinds of herpes.  Could you please supply me with more information so that I may be able to help you better?
