red and fleshy

I recently purchased a dwarf hamster at Meijer about three weeks or so ago, and I just realized as i was cleaning her cage that there was a fair amount of blood on the packing shavings. I put some rubber gloves on and picked her up and there was a tubular, red, piece of flesh coming out her vagina. The whole rear end was bloody. I don't think she's pregnant, please help me, i don't know what to do.

She had either a rectal or vaginal prolapse.  Rectal prolapses can be caused by parasites, G.I. bacterial infections, bad husbandry,  or combinations of all three.  Vaginal prolapse is more unlikely but can be due to a post pregnancy problem.

I don't think that you caused these problems.

I would call the store where you purchased her and ask them if you (or they) can take her to the vet that they use.  All pet stores should have a relationship with a veterinarian.

Unfortunately, these problems can be serious.  I am so sorry for your sad experience.

She needs to be seen by a vet.  Many have reduced charges for these pocket pets, so don't let cost deter you from having her seen.
