Postpartum behavioural abnormalities in cats can be caused by medical, or hormonal problems or even a bit of postpartum depression.
It would be best to have your cat examined by a vet who can also perform a minor blood test to make sure that she does not have eclampsia, which is low blood levels of calcium. Low or borderline levels of calcium can cause the behavior that you describe as well as many other unusual behaviors. If the calcium blood levels drop very low it can cause seizures and other serious problems.
Once this is ruled out your vet can check for other cause's such as hormonal imbalances.
Prescription medications, only available from your veterinarian, may be necessary to curb this behavior.
