sick dog won't eat

My 10 year old black lab seems very sick.  He went to the vet last week because his eyes were red and swollen looking.  We got meds for that and it seemed to clear up.  I should mention that he is also losing his eyesight.  The last 2 weeks I have noticed he is not eating very well.  The last 2 nights he has not eaten at all.  He has been eating alot of grass and drinking water, but nothing seems to stay in his belly.  He vomits everything by morning.  Do you think it might help if I feed him boiled chicken.  He has lost quite a bit of weight in the last 2 months.  I'm scared to hear what my vet may tell me but I don't want him so sad.  It is so sad to see him withering away like this. Will boiled chicken help?  I don't think he has diarreha.

If he is vomiting up everything what makes you think that chicken will stay down?

I think that it is necessary to follow up with your vet and make sure that he has no obstruction or mass in his abdomen causing the vomiting, or something metabolic such as kidney disease, liver disease, etc.  Additionally, some eye problems and blindness can be caused by systemic diseases.

Your vet may not have all bad news for you.

Took my dog to the vet.  His kidney reading was 14.  Had to put him down.  Very sad . Not the same without him in the house. we miss him terribly.
