I have had complete replacement on both shoulders, the left went smoothly, a great range of motion and zero pain. That surgery was at the end of January, I had the right shoulder done the end of May. No pain, great range of motion, the second day, to my shock I was able to pull my hair back and was driving by the 6th day. The only issue I have with the right shoulder is numbness from the thumb to my elbow. It doesn't hurt, but my arm is very weak and zero muscle tone.
Hi Kristen,
Please excuse my tardy reply. I haven't had shoulder surgery - but my son had his left done last year. He's still having issues with it.
If you're healthy and young - why wait? The older our bodies become the slower we tend to heal and often the more possible complications. My son is young and still has some healing issues.
So if you had good results with one - personally I see no reason to wait on the other shoulder.
Good Luck,
