How long after I start taking prednisone for a gout attack should i feel marked relief in pain?
What is the dosage they have you on? 10MG? It should work within a couple of days. I have AS and ReA and take it when I have a severe flare up.

After taking the first round of 6 pills in the 5mg pack I start to notice reduction in pain and swelling within about four hours. I take t pills per day for the next three days. About a day and a half after starting the regime I can walk without excessive pain. At the end of four days I'm back to normal. I drink a lot of water and avoid high purine food as soon as symptoms appear. Beer, peanuts and Thai fish sauce are bad for me.
