calf pain ( Leg ) for my 4 year old daughter

Hi, I am not sure if I am posting in write forum, but I am desperately looking for a solution.
My daughter who is 4 years old. Once in a while complains that she has calf pain during night time. When I asked my pediatrician she say that is nothing but growth and she doesn't suggest any thing. But my daughter cries a lot during night especially  between 2- 4 AM. I tried to see if this is due to any food allergies but could not find any. Can any one suggest any solution or what type of doctors look into this kind of issues( Orthopedic or Rheumatologist)?

Thank you so much

Hi...could it be a charlie horse...they tend to come in the middle of the night...I know cuz I had the displeasure of getting them frequently.....and they r very painful....u may want to have the dr do blood labs if not already done to see if she has low levels of vitamins and minerals which may feed into her having these painful attacks.

Vitamin, D, B12, magnesium, ad potassium should deff be looked at as well as nething else the dr feels may cause this.

If the labs prove nothing out of the ordinary, I would ask about a MRI of her complete spine to rule out nething else.

Good luck and I pray ur DD's pains end soon : )

This kind of pain is NOT "growing pains". I get so irritated when doctors continue to say this because it's a huge cop-out. Anyway..

Night time muscle pain may be due to an imbalance in the potassium, magnesium, and sodium relationship. Try giving your daughter a half a banana at night before she goes to bed. Better would be to see if she'll down 4 ounces of low sodium V8, which has a really good balance of these minerals.

Blessings for both of you!

Thank you very much for your valuable suggestions.
Daily I give 1 or 2 vitamin gummy bear to my kids. From now on I will concentrate more on their vitamins.

Dr. just check for Iron each year and did not do any lab test to check the vitamins levels.
