pain

I am trying to find out what the withdrawl symptoms are and feel like from tramadol.  I am prescribed 4 pills a day along with an antibiotic for a toothache and I took the tramadol faithfully for 1 week the pain subsided so I only took it if I felt pain in my tooth.  I didn't need it for 2 days and after the 2nd day I was really sore, body wise and was very irritable.  Were these signs of withdrawl of tramadol?

I agree pretty much everything the member above wrote.

It seems these Doctors and Dentists need to educate themselves a little bit about this drug. You took the drug as prescribed, for I week, and you weren't even taking the maximum dose, and now you're having discomfort when you stopped it. That's terrible and it's not the 1st time I've heard of problems related to a low dose and a short duration.

Fortunately, your experience with tramadol has been brief, there's people all over the country that have become addicted to this stuff because their Doctors didn't know anything about it.

It's possible even though you were only on it for a shot time. Withdrawal feels different for many people. Some people get flu like symptoms. Almost everyone will get rebound pain which is probably why you're body is sore. Withdrawal usually starts 24-48 hours after your last does and can last anywhere from 3 days to a few months depending on how long you've been on the medication. Since you've only been taking it for a week it will take about 72 hours for the withdrawals to subside. You may have some fatigue hanging around but it will go away on it's own.
