Hi and thanks for using the forum.
Since this seems to ony happen when you are out and in a group of people it seems the issue is psychological- meaning that it has something to do with being in a social situation as opposed to being caused by a medical problem. I think you should see your regular doctor and have a complete physical to rule out any medical problem (be sure to tell your doctor about the issue). If everything checks out ok, then you might want to see a psychiatrist, psychologist or counselor to see if they can help you get to the bottom of this. I hope this helps. Good luck.

******* EDIT ****** Ever since I was young I have had a problem speaking in public, but i dont mean nervousness or I'm afarid or self conscience or anything. My throat simply drys or something I dont know what happens really and it makes it extremely difficult for me to talk. No one I know has this problem nor can I find any information at all about it. When I go ANYWHERE with many people my throat becomes extremely dry and drinking water does not help at all. This is horrible becuase it makes it INCREDIBLY difficult to simply talk to the person sitting right next to me in a resturaunt never mind how hard it is to just give my order to a waiter or waitress...BUT when I get home or too someone elses house and we are alone my throat INSTANTLY return but to normal... I seriosly have absolutly no idea hows this occures why it happens or how to get rid of... Can anyone please help me. Thank you.
