Some thing is wrong...
Hi, I am hoping maybe some one can help me out rather than telling me that antidepressants will take every thing away...I know I sound crazy but....
I have Lichen Planus on both of my ankles
My right ankle has large lumps in it, it is very painful and often I can not bend it
My right shin feels like it is being crushed, incredibly painful
I am not able to straighten my right knee at times, small lump that moves from the from of the knee cap to the back
my right thigh feels like the bone is being crushed, again one of the worst pains I have ever felt
My hips make a loud sharp snapping sound when I turn or use stairs, it is accompanied by a crippling pain that usually lands me on the floor
I have had diarrhea for about 5 years
I menstruate for 26 days a month, it is a very heavy flow, with very large clots
the cramps that I get with my period are debilitating, I cant do any thing
The bone in both my forearms feel like they are being crushed
my right elbow locks up and cant be moved with out pushing it to a point that I feel like it is going to break
I get horrible back pain, I cant bend, I cant get out of bed some days, it feels like a knife is being stabbed into my spine
I had right lobe of my thyroid removed because there was a large solid mass that was blocking my airway
My heart feels like it is going to beat out of my chest, a loud hard thud echos through my ears
extreme jaw pain, Unable to open or close my mouth all the way, when I do open my mouth, to chew or yawn, it feels like my left ear drum is going to explode
I am seeing black spots and white specks that zip around in my line of vision
I get really bad headaches all the time
I have started to lose my hair, Quarter sized spots where the hair does not see to be growing back

You poor thing. Well, I agree with you, in that I don't see how anti-depressants would help your symtoms (except if you were feeling depressed about your symptoms).
First, are you being treated for the lichen planus? Typically, lichen planus treatment can involve steroids- which can be really rough on your system- hair loss, dry mouth, and headaches could be symptoms of this. Also, lichen planus is thought to be caused by an allergic reaction or immune reaction which can really cause a lot of your symptoms. So, first, I would make sure that you are getting appropriate treatment for your lichen planus.
Next, as far as the vaginal bleeding goes, have you been evaluated for fibroids, or endometriosis? This could cause the irregular bleeding you are having. Sometimes, starting on birth control pills can help regulate your cycle. Sometimes, if you have fibroids, surgery could help resolve this.
Your hip problems may be causing the rest of your lower leg problems and your back problems. We tend to compensate without even realizing it, when we have an injured or painful area, so for example, if you have pain in your Left hip, you might be putting more pressure on your right side to give your other hip a break. This can throw off your entire allignment and could be the reason for your orthopedic aches and pains. Following up with that CT scan (I personally would thing that an MRI would be more helpful) a good start to figuring out what is going on.
Finally, if you have not been checked for anemia, you should be. The amount of bleeding that you have described would make me think that you are anemic. This can cause the tiredness and inability to get out of bed. Also, it could cause bone mass loss as well.

Thank you for your reply, I have been seeing my doctor a lot in the last year that is when the majority of the problems started. I was put on 3 different types of birth control for the pain and to help regulate the bleeding, but none of them helped. they all made me really sick.
My father has colitis, I think that is similar to crohns and my sister has lupus. the doctor has ruled out lupus and basically stopped looking for any thing else, he just tells me that the problems I am describing, Dont happen, its not possible.
I received my results back about my hip problems this morning, it turns out that they point in the wrong direction and dont fit properly. The surgeon is sending me for a CAT scan to see if it has caused other problems in the area.
I will take this list with me and ask my doctor to test me for these as well.

I tacked on a disclaimer to my post and then deleted it. I have no medical qualification or even current first aid certificate. The nurse will have a better idea about what may or not be going on. I would also even advise posting on one of the other expert forums.
Gynecology comes to mind but I think that one has a fee. I would certainly look around.

I would certainly look at iron deficiency or anemia. I think your doctor should explore the bleeding in more detail. I guess if your iron levels come back low that may motivate him to follow it up.

Thank you both so much for your time and answers, You were both very helpful, thank, I apologize, it is an MRI not a CT, a foot specialist ordered the CT or CAT scan, (not sure which one) for my ankle. so many tests they are hard to keep track of. I had an ultra sound done, and every thing came back normal. I was told that anxiety could manifest as pain, is that true?
