Travel illness?

Seriously seeking advice.  Want to know if i should see a doctor.

I seem to always be getting fever when I return from a trip to New Orleans.  It is very strange.  Could it be something having to do with alcohol?  Sanitary conditions?  Food?  Plane?

It is very unusual.  I always seem to get fever when I return that lasts for 2 days and is around 100-102, chills, sometimes body ache, lightheadedness.  No other prominent symptoms.

This has occurred about 4 times already when traveling to this city.  The symptoms begin when i return home.  Any insight will be appreciated,  thank you.

Hi and thanks for using the forum.

It is hard for me to say what is causing this.  It is certainly possible that it is related to drinking alcohol.  You could also be "run down" from travelling or partying (if you are partying while you are there).  You could try easing off the alcohol a bit when you travel there, it may help.  Since the symptoms only last a day or two, it sounds like it could be viral or just a symptom from travelling.  Good luck.
