help me please

I am 18 years old and have been suffering from various symptoms since june. I get random numbness in different parts of my body ranging from my lips to parts of my face, legs, hands feet and arms. Currently my left pinky and side of hand has been numb almost constantly for two days. i used to experience extreme dizziness and constant feelings that i was going to throw up but those have improved over the last couple of weeks. ive also suffered from migraines since i was an infant and i have not been having too many migraines lately but i have had a headache almost everyday for two months. i went to the doctors and had blood work done to check for everything and it came back normal except i tested positive for lyme disease...i guess the lyme disease tests has a lot of false positives so it was sent out for a western blot test which luckily came back negative. I then had an mri and mra of my head done and everything came back normal but i dont understand why i am experiencing numbness, it absolutely scares the crap out of me....my dctr and neurologist believe it is migraines and anxiety and my parents think its alll in my head.....but i dont know what to think anymore. help!!

Hi and thanks for using the forum.

It is not uncommond for migraines to cause symptoms such as numbness and tingling.  I would suggest repeating to the lyme blood test, to be sure since your symtoms sound like lyme as well.  It is good news that your MRI/MRA came back negative.  Since your continue to have headaches have you tried a migraine medication.  This may help since the neurologist thinks the cause of the numbness/tingling may be migraine related.

Do you feel anxious?  If you do, you may want to consider trying different ways to manage your anxiety such as meditation, yoga, exercise, breathing exercises.   These can help bring your anxiety level down and may help control the symptoms.

I hope this info helps.  Good luck.
