hi and thank you for answering my question. it is unusual for my son to act like that. the teacher thought he was drunk and he was sent to the nurse and had a soberity test. the nuse told me he wasent drinking and it was because his bp was so high. i took him to the doctor yesturday and his bp was 139/82 the doc told me to watch it and drew blood . i will get the results of the bloodwork and keep an eye on his bp and take him to a new doctor. his doctor told me he thinks the school nurse is crazy and dident know how to take blood pressure . thanks for your help and i will look into the web site and go from there.

Hi and thanks for using the forum.

I think you should probably have your son seen by a pediatric cardiologist.   These blood pressures are high for a 14 year old.  Also, would it be unusual behavior for your son to get in a fuss with one of his teachers?  I was just wondering if this fuss was because he was not feeling well, or if his BP was elevated because of the fuss.  It is good to cut out salt- following a heart healthy diet can help lower blood pressure.  You can find more information about a heart healthy diet on the American Heart Associations web site.  Good luck to you and your son.
