pain in stomach and back when i sleep

For the past year, I have been having pain that wakes me up in the middle of the night from my lower abdominal all the way around to my lower back.  The pain is so severe that it takes my breath away at times and there is no position that I can lay in without pain (even on my side hurts).  The only thing that relieves my pain is to get up and walk around for about 30 minutes. During that 30 minutes, if I have to cough or sneeze, it hurts really bad in my lower abdominal, lower back and hip area. The pain is getting worse as the days go on.  Please help.

Thank you for your advice.  I did go to the doctor and come to find out, I have a bladder infection and Ecoli.  They want to do tests to make sure I do not have kidney problems caused from this.
Thank You

Hi and thanks for using the forum.

Well, I'm not sure what is causing this pain (especially because it has been going on for a year!) but one thing that I did think of is gas pain.  Gas bubbles can be very, very painful and they would be relieved by walking around.  You may want to try an over the counter gas relief medication before you go to sleep and see if that helps.  Good Luck.
