Hi and thanks for using the forum.
Well, there are a few things that you can do here. First, have you had any blood work done recently. I ask because you mention that you had some bleeding problems with the birth of your last child anemia can cause you to have palpitations and/or PVC's. So if you have not had your blood work checked since October, then you might want to ask your doctor to order this for you and make sure that you are not suffering from anemia. Second, it sounds like your PVC's are precipitated by anxiety. It is possible that if you get your anxiety level under control, you will not have the PVC's. Have you had issues with anxiety in the past? Have you ever been diagnosed with anxiety? There are a lot of stress/anxiety management techniques including relaxation, meditation, yoga, etc. There are also medications that can treat anxiety if it is severe. Next, if you are still on the propananlol you could go back to the cardiologist and let him/her know that you are still experiencing the PVC's. He or she can order a Holter monitor or an event monitor and see if they can capture these PVC's. It is possible that your propanolol dosage may need to be adjusted. Finally, there are conditions that can cause both PVC's and anxiety attacks (such as a thyroid disorder) so a complete physical by your regular doctor may be a good idea if you have not had one recently. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Well, the question really is CAN you ignore them? Since your EKG's are ok and they have found nothing wrong with your heart, then if you can ignore them, I would. If you can't ignore them, then you will need to do something about them. This would mean possibly going back on beta- blockers, managing your anxiety, etc.

Hi, i had to have 2x blood transfusions after the birth aswell as 3x iron daily, Ive had blood tests to check thyroid and blood count thyroid was fine, my blood count was better than expected she said so i came off the iron, I was diagnosed with anxiety but doctor said the traumatic birth could have caused this, i lost a lot of blood altogether i lost 2.3 litres and it was really terrifying at the time, i had nightmares when i got home of going through it again. Ive always been worried over little things about health like a headache is something more sinister, i was put on beta blockers and didnt like what i read on side effects so i stopped them with consent of doctor 6 weeks later, i was ok but the pvcs make me think i have a heart problem ive seen my heart doc and done ecg that was ok, so my doctor said they're are normal, do i ignore them ive seen the doctor so many times and they say im fine, thank you for replying
