Hi and thanks for using the forum.
You ask a very important question because generally speaking, early cervical cancer does not have any signs and symptoms. This is why cervical cancer screening - pelvic exam and PAP- is so important. So regular visits to your OB-GYN (usually yearly but follow the recommendations of your OB/GYN) are the best way to prevent and diagnose cervical cancer. Some later symptoms of cervical cancer include abnormal vaginal bleeding (as in after intercourse, between periods or after menopause) and pelvic pain.
The bleeding you have described sounds normal. It is not uncommon to have some bleeding on the Depo shot- especially how you described it. If you are very concerned, you could call your OB/GYN, but as long as you are up to date with your Pap's and they have been OK, then this is most likely nothing. Good luck.
