Asthma Pain

I am 40 years old and have been having a really bad pain around my sternum.  My chest feels tight and it hurts to turn or lift things. I can hardly take a deep breath without coughing or wheezing.  It really hurts when I have to sneeze.  Is this a common symptom of asthma...this has been going on for almost a year.

Pain for me was uncommon, what was common was the discomfort, wheezing, tight cough. I did experience pain after bronchitis or pnemonia with days of coughing, but no pain with asthma, just discomfort. You might have an infection. Don't wait so long to see your physician. There is no need to suffer more than you have to with asthma.
