Asthma Question?

I have had ashtma since I was a little kid (26 now) t. Currently I am going through some Ashma attacks that have prevented me from sleeping all but 2 hours last night. I guess my quesiton is why dont you medical professionals stop gorging people with 3-8 hundred dollar doctor visits to confirm to me that I in fact need abuterol when I have needed the freaking drug since I was a kid. Nothing has changed, except my frequency has gone WAY down except during my allergy seasons (fall is bad for me). Anyway I am having a pretty bad attack right now but I am going to buy one of those terrible over the counter inhalers because I refuse to be gorged and ripped off, and cannot afford an expensive trip to urgent care or the er to be prescribed a freakin rescue inhaler for a problem I have had long before many of the current doctors were even in medical school.

I just want to say thank you for putting the almighty dollar ahead of my well being. I dont see how abuterol can be abused, but rather this is just another ploy by for profit health cartels (must be nice to charge patients 10,000% markeup to be landlords for doctors) and make people like me have to give you money to tell me something I know, and any medical record of me would confirm. The rescue inhalers haven't changed since I started other than in dewlivery method (they spray differently) and of course the price has gone up to around 50 dollars each which honestly isnt that bad, come sout to like a quarter a spray.

Hello and hope you are doing well.
The way in which to tackle asthma is at two levels, at the preventive level and at the therapeutic level.

For Prevention Steroid inhalers are used regularly for prevention of attacks. The steroid content is very low in an inhaler and only acts locally. Use will prevent the causative allergens from triggering an attack. Repeated cold with nasal blockage can trigger attacks. Keep the nostrils clear of blockages by using nasal drops or sprays and try steam inhalation.

For therapy: During the attack, asthalin inhalers are used. Asthalin is used only during the attack and is not used for prevention.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

You might want to stop all dairy.  Also, acid reflux is linked to asthma.
