Has anyone hear ever heard of an asthma bump?

I have an 8 year old son that takes pulmicort, and just finished Orapred when I noticed a little bump in the back of his head. He scratches it alot, and I was told by the doctor to put cortizone on it. Because he had asthma, he more than likely had eczema. About a week later, his little bump turned into a big knot, and you can see it if he turns to the side. It itches more now that it has gotten bigger. I don't think it is eczema, but who am I? I am not a doctor. I was just wondering if anyone had this problem and got a different result from their doctor.

My son also has asthma and had eczema pretty bad when he was younger, but has since mostly grown out of the eczema part of it.  I have never seen a big bump the size of a knot on him...I would go back to the Doc and check it out.

My son has asthma and he was also diagnosed eczema.  Often he breaks out with fine bumps on his cheeks, sometime on the back of his neck.  I thought eczema was only rough dry skin, but since his diagnosis I have learned that it is bumps as well.

That doesn't exactly sound like eczema or a hive (which Pulmicort can sometimes cause)... and I've never heard of it before.  If it's gotten worse even with cortizone, I'd perhaps see another physician, maybe in urgent care or a regular peds doc?  It could be nothing, but it could also be something, you know?
